Farewell September

Sorry for being so inactive and not updating for sooo long. September was a sad sad month for me as all most of my friends left to UK and HK and other countries to further their studies. So as always before they leave, we'll have our final hang out and nom-ming session. Will do the food part in a separate post.

Miss hanging out with them

Miss her so much :(

Going to miss all these people a lot!

Also, we found an app for group video calls called ooVoo. So I ooVoo-ed with Summer and Rylin (Lee Yee) although the thing that was said the whole night was 'I CAN'T SEE *INSERT OUR NAME*' hahaha

Summer and her hair shampoo commercial, lolol

Guess they don't have so much free time for ooVoo anymore since they have more and more assignments coming up in uni.

Can't wait for them to come back during summer and hang out together again. Didn't manage to meet up with some of my other friends before they left but I guess I'll see them when they come back to KL. Also, didn't have a lot of pictures in my phone so I can only post these. Writing my next post now so till next time :) Oh and I'm watching this new drama by Lee Min Ho, The Heirs. It just started airing this week so go watch it!!

Till the next time!

Erawan Shrine + Street Food

This short post is about street noodles and Erawan Shrine. We had Thailand's yummy street noodles for breakfast for two days there. The noodles are yummy and they are cheap ( 30 to 40 baht). You can also choose the noodles that you prefer. My uncle loves it a lot.

I think this is pork leg.

Then we add all these to make it spicier!

The noodle stalls that we went to are near the Erawan Shrine. So after breakfast we'll head to the shrine. The Erawan Shrine located by the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel is near the Bangkok Skytrain's Chitlom Station. The area has many shopping malls nearby, including Gaysorn, CentralWorld and Amarin Plaza.

It's super crowded everyday. We went there everyday without fail to pray, either early morning or at night.

*wish wish wish*

It is said that if what you wish or pray for comes true, you have to return to the shrine the next year to pray and thank the Brahma God. Hopefully my wishes come true so that I can go back to Bangkok next year :)

Blogging about the rest of Bangkok now. Floating market is next on the list.

Bangkok Day 1 x Songkran Water Festival

Sorry for the overdue blog post about my Bangkok trip that took place in April. I went with my mum, aunts and uncle from April 15th to 19th. We booked these days because of the cheap flights. But what we didn't know was that the Songkran Water Festival was still going on in Bangkok.

Songkran, or known as Water Festival is an event where Thais commemorate the event with water. Its like a water party but at a large scale. Water splashing can be seen everywhere on the road. Even fire trucks are used to splash water everywhere. Everyone was carrying water guns, buckets and some are seen with chalks and coloured powder. This year, the festival was held from 13th to 15th April. When we arrived on the 15th, the festival was still going on and we were unarmed  O.O

Along the way to our Hotel (Ecotel Hotel), everyone was splashing and pouring buckets of water everywhere. If only we had knew it earlier, we would have wore something more appropriate and joined the fun. Since we didn't have any waterproof clothes or guns, we just had to AVOID all the splashing. But no matter how much we avoided, we would eventually get wet, lol.

Look at me! Soaked wet

Trucks and Elephants!! (pictures from Google cause I didn't dare to take my phone out)

Didn't take many pictures because I was afraid my phone will be soaked wet. Saw many cute water guns.

Like this one! I wanted to get one but I think it would be difficult to bring it back to KL. There was also a surrounded area for the Thais to play, outside Central World. Really wished that I could join the fun.

So since we were hungry and needed shelter from all the water, we went for chicken rice. Previously I went to the Pink chicken rice but it was closed when we went this time so we tried the Green Chicken Rice.

The chicken rice was okay and quite cheap. But the place was quite... the floors were slippery, you can literally slip by accident because of the floor.

To avoid the water, we escaped to Central World! No shooting in the mall ma. But everyone was queueing up at the toilet to refill their water guns.

Spot the girl with the Mickey gun!

Then we were pretty exhausted from walking so we stopped at Swenson's for ice cream!

Chocolate Fondue with 4 scoops of ice cream

I'll definitely go again for the Songkran Festival with my friends, gonna be super fun with them!! Going to blog about my other days in Bangkok! Till then!
