A short blog post about a new place I went for lunch last month. Decided to go to Help on Thursday because class ended early and I've no where to go to. So I went to Help College to try out Swich Cafe with Callie. Took me almost 45 minutes to travel from MCKL to Help. By the time I reached, it was already 1 pm. -.- Only an hour to eat, chit chat and photos.
It was quite packed when we arrived. The environment is good and comfy. Really liked the white interior of the place. Great place for hang out and chit chatting.
White chairs and tables with warm lighting.
We finally sat down and settle down. I was still sweating due to all the rushing and all. We looked at the menu and decided to share two main course. We ordered 'The Siamese Thin' & 'Walnut Pine Nut Pesto'.
Our cutleries and a glass bottle of water
Walnut Pine Nut Pesto

The walnut pine nut pesto was fairly good. I think the pasta was a little too vege-ish. Luckily Callie was there because I would not be able to finish it all by myself. In the end, i think we did not finish a small portion of it.
The Siamese Thin |
I really like the siamese thin :) It's a sandwich with tom yum chicken and mango slices served with salad. The bread is really nice and crispy. And the tom yum chicken are delicious followed by the sour mango slices ( really appetizing)
After that, it was time for DESSERT!
Despite the short time we have left, we still must try their dessert. We went over to the counter to choose our dessert. We were in dilemma choosing between the Cempedak Sponge cake (cannot really remember the exact name) and Durian Mud Tart. They were both a MUST-TRY dessert. So at first we chose the Cempedak Cake but unfortunately.... sold out :(
So we eventually chose the Durian Mud Tart. Fated to have the mud tart.
Durian Mud Tart |
The tart was heavenly. First bite and you can taste the durian. The chocolate and the tart pastry was a perfect combination with the durian.
A closer view of the pie.

Looks like Callie's wearing a hat. Haha
The dessert counter
Overall it was delicious. I would definitely go back to try their other desserts :D
